Funding for sustainable upgrades at Houses of Worship!

There will be an information session to hear more about New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program opportunities that are available to houses of workshop. You will learn about programs like Direct Install and SmartStart Buildings that can provide funding for sustainable upgrades to your facility. Learn how you can save money, make upgrades and be a better steward of the environment.

The hosts for this event are the GreenFaith Essex Circle, in partnership with the green teams of Maplewood, South Orange, Irvington and Millburn. Currently, GreenFaith, an international interfaith environmental organization, is working with houses of worship to establish an Essex Circle. If you would like information about the Essex Circle, contact Estrella Sainburg at estrella@greenfaith.org.

HOUSES OF WORSHIP INFORMATION SESSION
Date: Wednesday, February 21, 7:00 pm
Location: Prospect Presbyterian Church, 646 Prospect St., Maplewood, NJ 07040
Parking: On-street
Speaker: Pete Pirrello, Willdan Energy Services. He has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry and is the NJ Clean Energy Program approved contractor for Essex and Union counties.
What to Bring: Your house of workshop energy bills over a 12-month period. This is not required, but if you do bring the data, we can review the bills at the event to determine if your building qualifies.

Here is what leadership at a local house of worship had to say about the program: “Morrow Church takes the stewardship of the earth very seriously. Direct Install was an easy way to reduce our carbon footprint with more efficient and energy conscious lighting. The project dramatically lowered our electricity usage while at the same time it improved the quality of lighting throughout the building. Lower electric bills, improved lighting, and the knowledge that we are reducing our carbon footprint made this project a “no-brainer.” We highly recommend Direct Install to every place of worship.” Bradford Motta, Senior Pastor Morrow Memorial United Methodist Church, Maplewood NJ.

We encourage you to take this step to learn more about the programs that can help you save money and energy, improve buildings and make your facility more comfortable for your building occupants. If you have questions about this event, do not hesitate to contact Tracey Woods at traceywoods@verizon.net.
